About Mahjong Solitaire
Mahjong Solitaire is a tile-matching puzzle game that uses a set of Mahjong tiles rather than playing cards. The goal is to match open pairs of identical tiles and remove them from the board, exposing the tiles under them for play. The game is finished when all pairs of tiles have been removed from the board or when there are no exposed pairs remaining.
This version of the game features a distinct "casino-style" aesthetic, complete with a felt green background, bold tile physics, and an optional CRT filter for that retro arcade feel. It's designed to be a relaxing yet engaging mental exercise.
How to Play
- Look for a pair of matching tiles.
- Ensure both tiles are "free" (not covered and having at least one free side).
- Click the first tile to select it (it will pop up).
- Click the second matching tile to clear the pair.
- Continue until the board is clear or no moves remain.
Winning Tips
- Prioritize tall stacks: Focus on removing tiles on top of high piles to uncover more hidden tiles.
- Plan ahead: Before making a move, check if it frees up a tile you need.
- Save pairs: If matching a pair doesn't open up new tiles, save it for later when you might need to change your strategy.
- Reshuffle: Don't be afraid to use the reshuffle button if you're stuck (it's free!).
